Hey everyone, we’re back again posting news left right and center. So we have a lot to let you know of:
Firstly we are moving steadily with the new website. Although it will not be completed by the 1st of July unfourtunatley. Once again i have restructured how it will work and so that has been a major set back with the website development. Other major things include that i have to do another website for my Open University course, as well as that we are also going camping for about 3 weeks from the 2nd of July to the 26th meaning that we are going to be away for a while.
Secondly, a lot of some minor projects are starting to take shape so they should start to see content after our return or even, if you’re lucky, before we go away. So watch this space for new content.
Thirdly, our minor project MyWikiBB is undergoing some slow development, but when we come back and when i have the time to update it i will have Alpha 3 ready. It’s nothing major in the way of something that you can interact with but it is some updates for how such a project is going.
Wow we are starting to update the Supa Comix website a bit more often than ever before! Yey!
Supa Kode is now moving it’s wiki to a new website address, the old one at Wetpaint was not fulfilling what we needed from it unlike wikidot. Don’t get us wrong Wikipaint was great but we needed something else from it that it did not support and wikidot was the answer. So we have started to move over what page we have on the old wiki to the new one. We have added a couple more and then an article on PHP Naming Conventions. We hope to get this website updated often, Supa Kode is coming towards being completed in the way of alpha and construction level coding. There are many bugs to work out and we are still working on that. But these bugs and additions will be added whilst we code the Supa Comix website.

The latest Version of MyTwitterBB (2.2) is now available for download. This one features some updates to its code including:
- Support for hashtags
- Changed code that identifies html links
- MyBB Global now supports more than one url.
You will need to uninstalled any previous versions of MyTwitterBB in order to install the new version. Try and backup all of your users twitter usernames that they’ve entered in if you can. I will hopefully have a backup script written for version 2.3 as well as some other changes that may need applying.
thats right… i do release some stuff on time! in fact i have been working hard to update the look of the Is It Because I’m Green website over the past few days.
So now the new look is up you can go and check it out by going to the project page where the old design has been replaced. There isnt any content on there at the moment as we are still working on it… but it still looks pretty… oh and the Project announcment will be coming soon. – Adele
The website as you can see runs on WordPress, this is just becuase with the time frame that we had i didn’t have enough to construct everything for the blog just yet. So for now it’s going to be a wordpress blog, but the good news is that work has actually properly started on the Supa Comix website. I had to go back and do a bit of it again but this time it’s working properly and im working in a better order than before as i now do things in the order that i would need them testing.
Hopefully i will be able to get a lot of it done and a lot of it will come around to be fixed and working soon. You may even be seeing some of it go live in a while. – Nick
I have been thinking hard over the past few weeks… and yes… it did hurt. thinking hard about… life… the universe… and the Is It Because I’m Green? webpage…
i look at the web page as it is… and i dont care for it very much anymore and just like this… limbo of a supacomix webpage… it needs a change. just because the new Supacomix is still just code floating around Nicks brain… dosent mean that IIBIG needs to stay there with it and keep it company. that is why, the Is it because i’m green webpage will be the first supacomix project to be written under the new code… as a lab rat (with less morbid consequences of failure) and will be made.. better!
not only that, i have been thinking about the project itself… the future and how it, itself can be made better… once the website is done in the upcoming weeks, it will be reveled… until then! i bid you adoo! (i do care about what few fans i have, i will keep you in mind… each and every two of you).. so thanks, from Adele
With one more week left of doing work for uni, i can finaly start to pick up the “Is It Beacause I’m Green” project from where i left it.
i’m really happy to be able to get back to filming and i dont intend to ever end this project until it is compleated. Once the new supacomix has been compleated, in the not too distant future, “is it because i’m green” should be in its final episodes, then i can start thinking about my next projects. not to mention that i have recently purchased some new expansion packs and my new computer has already been upgraded so super smooth high quality footage coming your way from episode Nine onwards!
currently i am working on a comic for the supa comix project, “the survivors diary” and you may have seen nick published the stop motion animation that i did for uni, so i havent been sitting around doing nothing lol
finaly, its been passed around that the sims 3 will NOT have the DRM after all… thanks to maxis… not EA, so there is a good chance that i may be doing future projects with the sims 3.

Well i know its been a while since we’ve posted anything here but we have been busy. It’s nearing the end of the university year and so we’re trying to get a lot of that work done and dusted. Luckily i have very little left to do for uni so i can start working on Supa Comix stuff full time soon.
The Supa Comix website is coming along, i’ve been coding a lot of pages and been getting around to testing them at a later date, at the moment i have been getting along with the Supa Kode stuff but its starting to come along quickly.
Me and soul have also been working on a small comic which mixes with the Survivors Diary podcast that we do. Check out the links on the side for the website for that.
Now i have been working on some plugin for MyBB forums called MyTwitterBB. It’s gone into version 2.0 and seems to be working pretty well. It has been confirmed on the MyBB plugin part of the website but you can check it out at supacomix.co.uk/mytwitterbb. It merges users forum accounts user titles with their twitter accounts and also allows a global display of a twitter feed. Its not in use on the Supa Comix forum becuase Supa Comix does not have a twitter feed and the forums are not often used. But it is in use of the Survivors Diary Forums so check it out there.
Well the good news is that i am currently (sort of) on schedule with the Supa Comix website. This and next week i am working on the projects folder of the website which contains pages where you edit and maintain as well as view the project or even create some. Though that are 6 pages, one of them is proving to take longer than normal. This is due to the fact that it is a big page, the edit/ create new project page, it has about 5 steps and i am working on them slowly.
With my new approach to the website it doesn’t take long to create simpler pages such as the list all projects page, that took me about 10 minutes. This one has a lot of stuff that needs creating for it so it does take a long time. I am currently on step 4 of 5, and with me doing the actual project page today i can get both that and step 4 of the manage project page done.
In excellent news i have now completed my Dissertation for university, i just need to hand it in. Now i am intending to move onto my creative writing course which i intend to have all of the work done by April the 13th. Though i was meant to do one of the tasks this morning i had to work on printing my dissertation. So hopefully i can get both the tasks i’ve set myself for today done during my hour of work on uni stuff.
In other news me and adele have been working hard on the Survivors Diary, we’ve recently purchased some more bandwidth as it was proving very popular and we needed an upgrade. We are planning to work on a side project for it which shouldn’t take too long to do and will hopefully allow people to enjoy more left 4 dead content.
taking a break from all our technical issues and hard work, me and Nick went to see Watchmen… but the viewing was interupted… by technical difficulties…
but that meant we got to see it again for free.
