Supa Comix

So i eventually got around to fixing the forum. It was running a test version of MyTwitterBB that wasn’t working properly. I have just removed the plugin since i do not have time to fix the bug properly. Speaking of not having time:

I have now finished the first version of Supa Blogg, it’s not available to anyone to use right now as I’m testing it after coding and everyone who codes knows how many first time bugs they find when they test a program for the first time. I do not unit test with large programs, i would rather code in the flow of it and then bug test in one go. It means that everything is kept going and im not breaking flow to see whether it’s showing the right time or not. I am continuing to test Supa Blogg and i hope to have it running my personal blog very soon. It won’t be out for Public use until after i have released the new Supa Comix website later this year (hopefully).

MyTwitterBB Version 2.5 has not had anything done to it just yet. I have started University and i have to do that, SupaBlogg and the Survivors Diary so getting things done is a slow process right now. I have so many things that i want to do but cannot do alot of them because i have to prioritise what I’m working on. I was just making a post to make sure that you did not think that we were dead or anything.

I do not know what’s happening with Is it Because I’m Green or Virtually Reality, Adele has also started uni and has more work than me so she’s also very busy. But from what i’ve seen the scripts for Season 1 of IIBIG are coming along nicely.

thats right… i do release some stuff on time! in fact i have been working hard to update the look of the Is It Because I’m Green website over the past few days.

So now the new look is up you can go and check it out by going to the project page where the old design has been replaced. There isnt any content on there at the moment as we are still working on it… but it still looks pretty… oh and the Project announcment will be coming soon. – Adele

The website as you can see runs on WordPress, this is just becuase with the time frame that we had i didn’t have enough to construct everything for the blog just yet. So for now it’s going to be a wordpress blog, but the good news is that work has actually properly started on the Supa Comix website. I had to go back and do a bit of it again but this time it’s working properly and im working in a better order than before as i now do things in the order that i would need them testing.

Hopefully i will be able to get a lot of it done and a lot of it will come around to be fixed and working soon. You may even be seeing some of it go live in a while. – Nick

I have been thinking hard over the past few weeks… and yes… it did hurt. thinking hard about… life… the universe… and the Is It Because I’m Green? webpage…

i look at the web page as it is… and i dont care for it very much anymore and just like this… limbo of a supacomix webpage… it needs a change. just because the new Supacomix is still just code floating around Nicks brain… dosent mean that IIBIG needs to stay there with it and keep it company. that is why, the Is it because i’m green webpage  will be the first supacomix project to be written under the new code… as a lab rat (with less morbid consequences of failure) and will be made.. better!

not only that, i have been thinking about the project itself… the future and how it, itself can be made better… once the website is done in the upcoming weeks, it will be reveled… until then! i bid you adoo! (i do care about what few fans i have, i will keep you in mind… each and every two of you).. so thanks, from Adele

Ok, so the end of January has been and gone and we’re now looking at the end of February… but still no Cozmo? no, unfortunately due to poor computing facilities I found myself without a functioning computer for a few weeks, and another few weeks getting my new PC up to scratch on what me and the old computer were working on.

Now I have finally been able to get my new computer to play the video files I have recorded I can once again begin editing… or at least as soon as I get the audio files back off nick.
But fear not! I will complete this project if it takes me the next 3 years to do so… but if I get off my arse over the summer: when I have no uni work to have to go thru, then I will probably get the thing done and dusted for all to enjoy. so yeah sorry about that.
with uni and now the L4D pod cast to do finding time at the moment is like finding a pound coin in the back of the couch… rare, but a nice surprise. Even though it really is only just a pound…. I mean what can you buy for a pound? lots of sweets is the answer I’m looking for…
I’m looking forward to getting the rest of this series done as it amuses me. I wont be doing another series for “is it because I’m green” but I don’t think I will be retiring from my Sims 2 machinima work just yet… just hopefully my next series will be a bit better planed
oh and I wont be buying the Sims 3 unless it comes out on steam as I don’t want the new DRM on my computer (just in case anyone was wondering if I would take my work to that platform) i mean i would like to play it but I’d rather not because the use of my CD writer is not a sacrifice I’m willing to make for the Sims (its a new CD drive after all… my first working one for a long time)

*this project is turning out to be a lot longer than i thought* Anyway, 3 years… 1 season… i’m not promising it will be done this year since i promised that last year… yet here we are…

Okay, so i HOPE that we shall be done by the end of this year… 7 more episodes to go… i pray for a productive year lol

In other news, i am now working on the actual Supa Comix website. Though the administration area is still under construction for the website but we’ve had some great ideas for it and its only a matter of time before it is finished.

Although at the moment i am logged down with some Open Uni work i am currently working towards the Mybb Latest News Plugin Version 1.2. It’s not far away now but a few people have left reviews which had some good ideas for improvements for it and i am currently in the process of sticking those in. So expect to see them out soon.

Me and Adele should hope to start work on the next Episode of Is It Because I’m Green soon in the hope to get one last episode out before Christmas so stay tuned for news about that.

ok, so i thought i would get it done sooner than this, but audio editing is a nightmare with sims 2 footage. its not far off being done now though so i really do hope to get it done and uploaded at the begining of next week.

along with designing the new look for supacomix, i have been working on the release of the next episode of “Is it because i’m geen”

hopefuly episode 5 will be released by the end of this week.

Well today is the day i enroll in my third and (hopefully) final year at university. So when the work starts to get going certain projects will come to a complete stop with their development whilst others will slow down. However some i have kept a moderate secret or at least not talked about in a while are still going to go on due to them being in a constant state of development and have been for the last few weeks.

Both me and adele will be at uni and so we will be bogged down with a lot of work, adele becuase she has a proper uni course and me becuase it’s my final year so all attention must go into that work. We will pop in from time to time to update the website and spread some news about the projects.

The good news is that Is It Because I’m Green is one of the projects that will remain in production. We have 3 new episodes ready for editing but they will be released over the last few months of the year. Then we will be able to hopefully get on and finish those last few episodes next summer for the series finale and what not then.

Gal X is going to be one of the projects that will remain on a temporary hold or a slow development, this is due to the Supa Kode project. The Supa Kode project is a PHP/My SQL/MS SQL application program which will come with a lot of coding modules including a forum and a website, but they also come with smaller modules including security image creation and PHP emailing systems for your website. The last two described modules will be something that are needed for Gal X before its finished and so i am going to work on getting those done before i can release the latest version. At the minute i am working on trying to get the code into a ready state for alpha testing which should not be far away. Once this has been done then Gal X will move into a state where people can sign up.

The Supa Comix website is something that cannot really be done until Supa Kodes early modules are completed but it will be worked on once Gal X is out. There is a lot to do for this new website and we are still working on the final designs for it so please stay tuned on that.

Zombie Stress 2 is something that will have a slow development but i intend to get a lot done to it over the next few weeks if i can. See if i can get as much of it done as possible before i start to get a lot of work. I want to get it released before the end of this year and i am still in pondering about what most of it will be like. So far we have about 2 completed maps but there is a lot left to do. I will be talking to the team over the next few weeks about getting their stuff finished and ready for release.

Other Supa Comix projects, mainly The Adventures of Melon Boy will cease development for the mean time. It was planned to come out this summer but we had a lot to do with Supa Comix and so it had to be put on the back burner. It will be picked up again once the uni term is finished and we have a lot of other projects good and completed, so be ready for that to come in late 2009 maybe.

The Fortress is facing its closing down week at the minute, due to hardly any activity we have decided to close the website and the project. It will be fully closed on saturday, i will be posting another final news post later today on the website about the final closing measures of the website, so if your a fan of that site check it out later.

Me and soul will be updating this website regulary and the blog may start to look a bit different as we start to adapt some form of style to the website. But its still just in the process of being set up ready for the coming uni year so stay tuned for some changes on that.
